De finale van de ‘Grote Prijs van Leidsche Rijn 2016’ staat voor de deur!

Na 3 voorrondes zijn de FINALISTEN van de bandcompetitie ‘Grote Prijs van Leidsche Rijn 2016’ bekend!

6 bands gaan strijden voor die geweldige hoofdprijs! 

In voorronde 1 plaatsten ‘The Inside Joke’ (publiekskeuze) en ‘Architect’s Intent’ (jurykeuze) zich, in voorronde 2 grepen ‘De Baend’ (jurykeuze) en ‘Electric Memories’ (publiekskeuze) de 2 finaleplaatsen en in de 3e voorronde maakten ‘Walking On The Eggs’ (jurykeuze) en de ‘The Mad Hatters’ (publiekskeuze) de 6 finalisten rond.

De ‘Grote Prijs van Leidsche Rijn’ is een bandcompetitie voor jongeren 12-19 in regio Leidsche Rijn/Vleuten/De Meern. Jong muzikaal talent krijgt zo de kans stage ervaring op te doen, zich te profileren, hun eigen geschreven songs ten gehore te brengen en ze kunnen er ook nog eens geweldige prijzen mee verdienen.

Ik ben bij de 1e en 2e voorronde gaan kijken en kan zeggen dat ik echt goed jong muzikaal talent heb gezien! In de 1e voorronde sprong de band ‘Architect’s Intent’ er voor mij uit en kreeg mijn stem voor de publiekskeuze.

En in de 2e voorronde heeft ‘Electric Memories’, met een overtuigend optreden, mijn stem gekregen.

De FINALE staat gepland op 23 december a.s. om 20.00 uur in Azotod in De Meern. Entree is 5 Euro en kaartjes zijn die avond verkrijgbaar aan de deur.

Where would an artist be without his band, his entire crew? Lets take Måns Zelmerlöw and his band and crew as example.

I’ve seen them play in Linköping/Sweden on August 22. and in Paradiso/Amsterdam/The Netherlands on Sept 25. 2015.

You can see from Måns his Instagram/Facebook posts that not just his band but his whole crew is his base to work from. All together they are his support. The guys who give him the opportunity to shine center stage in the spotlight. The technicians make sure everything is exactly how it should be before each performance. The instruments, microphones, lighting. They make sure it’s all set for a fantastic performance.

On stage the artist and band are a team. And that shows so well with Måns and his band. They prepare the concerts together. They rehearse together. They travel together. They laugh together. They relax and unwind together, in their case it might be with playing sports like tennis/padel or playing football with FIFA16. Especially when touring together, like the #theheroestoureurope they are doing right now, they really need to work as a team and get along because they spend so much time together in their tourbus, backstage and on stage.

When a team works well together, they not only enjoy each second of each performance they give together, they also lift eachother to a higher level. And THAT’S what make their concerts even better, more intense, more special.

During the concerts I also focussed on the band members while taking photographs. Because it’s a team on stage during  each concert and they are just as important Måns himzelf is during a performance.

The band LITESOUND comes to Amsterdam!

LITESOUND, the band who represented BELARUS at the Eurovision Song Contest in BAKU, Azerbaijan in 2012, comes to The Netherlands for a performance this October!

LITESOUND is relatively unknown outside Belarussian and Russian borders, where they are top of the bill!!, but this will certainly change soon. A band that grew up with bears, matroeskas, blinis and vodka will conquer Europe rapidly with their catchy English songs, ready for the European and American music world !!
Litesound is founded in 2005 by brothers Dima and Vova Karyakin. They are an independent band and do everything in-house. They write their own lyrics and music and record their songs in their own studio. They film and edit their music video’s all by themselves and of course, they are the main actors in these videos. Last year, their song “Brothers” was chosen to be the official song for the Ice Hockey World Championships and they learned to skate to make not only the song but also the video a big success !!
Internationally, they are known for their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012.

Come and enjoy Litesound at their show in Holland !! They will perform their own great work, but they will also play covers of Michael Jackson, Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Guns’ n Roses and Ozzy Osbourne.
The voice of Dima, the guitar play of Vova and the percussion work of Andrey will remain in your head a long time and bring many great memories.
